A luxurious afternoon

This morning, after my guitar lesson, I went home and had my pasta lunch before heading to facial salon. I was having painful blackhead extraction when I suddenly decided to utilise my callus treatment voucher and have my manicure done as well.

It was a pampering treat, with my face, hand and feet being worked on tenderly at the same time. Never had I enjoyed such a luxurious moment before, and I felt like a royalty being waited upon on. I spent about 4 hours there, which by the time I came home, it was already late afternoon. Of course, it came with a price tag, but once in a blue moon I guess it's a treat well deserved, especially when we have been working so hard and tired at work.

Recently I came upon an article that mentioned about this writer Mitch Albom who authored books such as "Tuesday with Morries" and "Five peeople you meet in Heaven" etc. He used to work as a sport journalist before becoming a full time writer, and apparently the books he wrote were based on his close encounters with people he felt strongly for. I heard the books are inspiring, and so I decided to borrow one of his books to read when I pass by a bookshop. Last Sat during a casual chat over lunch with my friend, it was so coincidence that she had those books as well, and had agreed to lend me. I look forward to reading his books.
