'Eat Pray Love' Movie

Yesterday went to watch 'Eat, Pray, Love' movie starred by Juliet Robert. This 140min movie was about her embarking on an one-year self-discovery journey. Altogether, she went to 3 countries: Italy on an eating spree, India on meditating to cleanse mind and soul; & lastly Bali where she met the love of her life. It all began when she, as a writer, felt soul-less in her life at New York and her marriage of 8 years. In the end, she divorced her husband and went on this 1 year adventurous journey to seek 'happiness'.

Had she not be the lead actress, this might be a plain story plot. However she really acted out the character, and brought me into the story with her.

I actually wondered: How many of us here in Singapore are able to quit a job and leave everything behind? I guess it's not that simple in real life after all, where there's so many commitments holding you back. Or maybe it's the lack of courage to move forward, into the unknown. Not many people would want to venture into the unknown and leave a comfortable life. How many people actually become happier when abroad, in different places every now and then?

But one thing is for sure: you get to meet different types of people, and experience little surprises along the way every day.
Would life be more interesting this way?
